Biography

Ariane Florent an Australian Registered Psychologist. She is a highly attuned, creative and impactful psychologist with experience in the psychologist-practitioner, researcher-academic and organisational psychology consulting spaces. She has worked in a diverse array of commercial, government, not-for-profit and community sectors.

Ariane’s therapeutic foci are complex trauma, PTSD, critical incidence response, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, stress and burnout, assessments and differential diagnosis. She enjoys balancing this with elite peak performance coaching (esp. Motorsport industry), leadership and manager coaching, training and facilitation and talent management.

Ariane’s Humanistic approach is concerned with supporting clients to achieve therapeutic change if not, transformation. This means that she sees the uniqueness in every individual and their inherent potential. She is experienced in numerous evidence-based therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness-based interventions, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Coaching and Positive Psychology based interventions, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT).

Ariane is a Psychology Board of Australian (PsyBA) approved Clinical Supervisor.

Ariane is also a Mediator where her training meets the requirements of the National Mediator Accreditation System (NMAS) in Australia.

Ariane has also published peer-reviewed articles and chapters on trauma, abuse and neglect.

When she is not working, she’s walking on multi-day hikes or planning her next overseas adventure!
